Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy
All hypnosis is self hypnosis. Hypnosis is a focused trance state that is similar to meditation, where the mind goes into an alpha state and the unconscious is brought to the forefront. Unlike meditation, in a hypnotic state attention is focused, sometimes on a desired outcome, occurrence, or time. When you are in hypnotic state you are always in control and will not do anything that you don’t want to do.
Throughout the day a person goes in and out of trance. This happens when one drives without thinking about where they are going and yet end up at the correct destination. It also takes place when one is shopping or just “zoning out”.
